Tired of Picking up dog poo

in your garden in banstead?

Banstead, UK

Life in Banstead (SM7) feels calm on the surface, but it still fills up quickly. From mornings near Banstead High Street to walks across Banstead Downs and afternoons spent at Lady Neville Recreation Ground, spare time has a way of disappearing. With a dog at home, it doesn’t take long for the garden to lose that fresh, looked-after feel. What begins as “I’ll sort it later” quietly can turn into a task sitting in the background — and a lawn that’s not quite as enjoyable as it should be.

residential garden with piles of poo before service

Add in the cold & rainy weather, dogs using the garden all the time or limited mobility and it’s even less appealing. And honestly, scooping poo is the last job anyone wants to do if they don’t have to.

That’s exactly why Scoop and Tidy exists for Banstead dog owners.

Frequently Asked Questions

🟢 About Our Service

Do you clean the whole garden?

Yes. We thoroughly walk through your entire outside area, including the front, back, and side gardens, as well as flower beds, removing all visible dog waste. We'll also ask about any specific areas you'd like us to pay extra attention to in your onboarding form.

Do you offer service all year round?

Yes. We work in every season and almost all weather. We only pause during heavy snow, ice, or storms.

Do you work on holidays?

We may adjust schedules on major holidays and will always notify you a week in advance. Just so you know, we are closed for 2 weeks between Christmas and New Year, and this is, of course, reflected in a reduced December fee.

Also, if you will be out of town for the holidays and your dog won't be using the garden, please notify us at least one week in advance so that you will not be charged for any visit(s) that week (it will be credited with your next billing cycle).

Do you offer one-time cleanups?

Yes. You can book a single cleanup or choose regular recurring visits.

How often do you visit?

Most people choose weekly, but we also offer twice weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and one-off visits. We can set up a schedule that works for you.

How long does an average cleanup take?

For weekly cleanups, we’re usually done in 8–15 minutes, depending on your garden size and number of dogs. If we visit less often or the garden is bigger than usual, it can take longer, as doggy waste has a way of piling up!

🟢 Safety and Pets

How do you keep my dog safe?

Safety is one of our top priorities. Before each visit, we clean our tools and shoes with pet-safe kennel-grade sanitiser, wear fresh gloves and shoe covers to avoid spreading germs, and make sure gates are closed, for which we send you a photo as proof for peace of mind. Lastly, our staff is trained to look for abnormalities in your pet’s waste, which can be early signs of illness. We will alert you promptly if we notice anything unusual so your dog can see a vet for expert care.

Can you clean with my dog in the garden?

We love dogs, but for the safety of our team, we prefer pets to stay inside during our visit, as even friendly dogs can be unpredictable. If you’ve chosen complimentary deodorising services, it’s best to keep your dog indoors for at least 1 hour while the product dries.

Should I tell you if my dog is sick?

Yes, please let us know if your dog is sick. This helps us take extra precautions to protect both our team and your pet.

🟢 Access to Your Garden

I keep my gate locked. How will you get in?

You can give us a key, lock code, or arrange another way to let us in.

Do you need outside access to my garden?

Yes. We need a way to access your garden from the outside without entering your home, as our insurance doesn’t cover that. Don’t worry- we’ll treat your property with care.

Do I need to be home during service?

No. As long as we can access the garden from the outside, you don’t have to be there.

🟢 Scheduling

Can I pick a specific cleanup day?

We try to accommodate your preferred day whenever possible, but our routes are planned the day before to ensure efficiency with our routing and keep prices affordable. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a specific day every time. We'll always notify you the day before your next service and the morning of your service day. For parties or special events, give us a heads-up and we’ll do our best to help.

Do you give arrival windows?

We’ll always send a text message 30-60 minutes before our arrival.

What days do you usually scoop in Banstead?

We group Banstead visits into regular routes so most customers are seen on the same day each week or every other week. When you share your address, we’ll let you know which Banstead route you’re on and give you an approximate time window for your cleanups.

If I go on holiday, can I pause my service?

Yes. Just let us know at least a week in advance, and we’ll adjust your schedule.

🟢 Pricing and Payments

How much does it cost?

Prices start from £20.32 per visit for 1 dog, for a small to average sized garden, on a weekly schedule - and vary based on the number of dogs and visit frequency. We pre-bill monthly at the start of each month. Contact us for a personalised quick, free quote.

Is there an extra fee for the first cleanup?

It depends - we usually charge more for the first initial cleaning visit if your garden hasn’t been cleaned in over 2 weeks, as more piles will have accumulated and thus take longer to clean. This would be £45 for the first 30 minutes and an extra £15 for any incremental 15 minutes. We'll always let you know in advance.

But don’t worry, new signups to our weekly, twice-weekly or biweekly service can often take advantage of our free first cleanup promotion that might be running at that time!

Do I have to sign a contract?

No contracts. You can start, modify or cancel anytime - see our T&C for more details.

How do you bill me?

For recurring service, we ask for your card to be kept securely on file and billed automatically on the 1st of each month. Your first payment is taken when you sign up (pro-rated if mid-month, minus any free first-visit offer). This keeps your service running smoothly with no missed cleanups or manual payments.

For one-time cleanups, we ask for a 50% deposit at signup, with the rest due once the job is finished.

What is the Client Portal and how do I use it?

The Client Portal or Hub is your personal online portal within Scoop and Tidy where you can view and approve quotes, check upcoming cleanups, review past visits, and pay invoices securely - all in one place. It’s powered by Jobber, the trusted scheduling and invoicing platform we use to keep everything running smoothly. You’ll receive a unique link by email or text after you book with us, and you can log in anytime to manage your services.

🟢 Professional Standards

What do you do with the waste after cleanup?

We double-bag it in leak-proof, biodegradable bags and place it in your bin, following local council rules.

What if the technician misses some waste?

Let us know right away, and we’ll come back to fix it.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We’re fully insured and run a professional, reliable service.
